Out of the LaStone Therapy UK Ltd has risen the new company LaStone UK which represents Mary Nelson and all that is LaStone Inc. We have been quietly working behind the scenes to develop both course content and venues to meet the needs of today’s UK therapists. These ideas have been given full support by Mary Nelson and the new courses have proved a huge success. We have introduced some new skills (from Mary) within the Original Body as it was a little outdated. This is the first time any new material has been introduced to the course content for at least two years. We have also re-instated castle building bringing the course to a full 4 days at no extra cost. we recommend you attend one of the two refresher courses which we have introduced this year - Energetic Principles or the Geothermal-therapy workshop with stone techniques. Please contact us for course dates and venues. We are still making contact with the hundreds of LaStone therapists already practicing in the UK. We still need to let more of our therapists now that LaStone is still operational in the UK and it has NOT been rebranded to another 'stone expression'. | LaStone UK - Why train with LaStone UK? |
| LaStone® was the first Pioneers in Stone Massage. We are the largest stone training company running courses in 14 different countries. There are currently 25,000 certified LaStone® therapists worldwide, 1200 of these have been trained in the UK. LaStone® is one of the fastest growing massage techniques throughout the UK despite the competition from other ’stone expressions’ We are the only stone training company to offer specialised geo-thermal therapy courses in both sports massage and reflexology. Mary Nelson is the originator of LaStone® Therapy. It was her work that started this innovative technique in 1993. She is the creator of LaStone Therapy Inc. Her team of Instructor’s are at the leading edge of research and development in the application of hot and cold stones to the body. There are currently 35 Instructors worldwide teaching one or more of the 21 different LaStone® courses. Other Expressions of Stone work are just that, expressions of what LaStone has created and developed over the years. Please do not attend one of our courses if this is your intention. Do not mistake LaStone® for another ’hot stone massage treatment’. It is the correct combination of heated and cool stones that is our trademark. We have specifically designed these courses to recap the old principles and introduce you to some advanced techniques. All courses are accredited and are based on the new GRCCT guidelines. (see course details for more information). For those of you who don’t get enough treatments then we are arranging a series of weekend retreats. These are designed to take some time out and relax in some beautiful surroundings. The weekends are designed around attending small workshops, sharing ideas, discussions and demonstrations. No weekend would be complete without having the opportunity to give and receive LaStone® treatments. |

What has happened to LaStone Therapy? LaStone Therapy was the original business unit for the UK. From 2008 there has been a change in management and the old website and company is no longer operational as a LaStone training company. What is the new business unit called? The new business unit is called LaStone UK. Who is running the new business unit? Lesley Masterson is now representing all the LaStone therapists in the UK. What happened to the team of Instructors? There were originally 5 Instructors. Jane Scrivner, Debbie Thomas and Arit Anderson have all left LaStone. Lesley Masterson and Anna Spaul are the only certified LaStone Instructors currently teaching in the UK at present. What happens if I was taught by one of the Instructors that has left the company? Your qualification is authentic if you attended a course up to the end of December 2007. If you have attended a course since the new year it is not a valid LaStone qualification. How will LaStone therapists be kept informed of the changes and developments as they happen? LaStone needs to build a new database of LaStone therapists in the UK, to keep you abreast of upcoming events. Please do not log off the system until you have registered with us. We will then keep you informed of course dates and venues. All new information will also be displayed in the ’Members only section’ of this website. What about buying equipment? We are in the process of setting up a new company in order to provide high quality stones and equipment at affordable prices. This will be operational from April. |

| Greetings to all UK LaStone Certified Therapists! We are pleased to be speaking with you through this medium and happy to announce the changes in our LaStone® UK office. At this time I would like to congratulate the Satellite Office members of our LaStone® Tribe in the UK; Lesley and Anna. They are willing and able to help you with all your LaStone® needs. These ladies have been members of LaStone for several years and their experience and talents will help guide your continuing success. We are confident that you will find these talented women prepared to enhance the efforts of LaStone® in the United Kingdom. I will visit Ireland in July, to offer the ’Instructors-in-Training’ program and possibly even an Advance course! Please contact the LaStone® Satellite Office in your area for your continuing education needs and information about the exciting expansion of LaStone® Therapy throughout the UK. Both Anna Spaul and myself, Lesley Masterson have taken up the challenge and we aim to make LaStone UK even more relevant to Stone therapists. In addition to offering our ’often copied but never bettered’ LaStone training Courses, we are also organising a series of professional development courses. This will provide the opportunity to refresh existing LaStone principles and expand your subject knowledge and skills. | Just confirmed, we are delighted to be able to tell you that Mary Nelson is coming over to the UK to teach her Advance Geo-Thermal Therapy 3 Day course July 14th - 16th. Each of the three days will take you one stone closer to understanding the variety of ways Energy Work can be used within LaStone Therapy. Mary focuses on: • Developing your understanding and application of alternating temperatures, • Specific LaStone Energy work,• Stone massage techniques, • Geo-thermal therapy principles, • The power of using breath within a body treatment, • Expand the use of geo-thermo-therapy as it relates to LaStone treatments, • An introduction to toning within a treatment, • Introduction of new stones and crystals The course will explore the Spiritual meanings behind specific strokes you perform with the stones on your client’s body and how that affects their emotional state of being.
